Infills-No lifting!

If undertaking an infill where only zone 3 needs re-application of product and there is no lifting, would you still have to file the acrylic down slightly or just prep and infill???

You would still file to thin and make flush then prep as normal....remember to remove the shine from the new nail growth.

if the nail grows out flush enough, all you have to do is a light buff and prep (making sure there is no visible line), this is what all techs want .... rather than having to file their butts off.
If this is how your clients come back, you have reached a pinnacle.
