Hi Ank,

Can you tell us your routine when doing 'infills'? Then maybe other techs can let you know what they do differently?

here's my fill process: 1. debulk the nail (i usually take down about 2/3 of the product).
2. prep the new growth like normal.
3. lay down new product in zone 3
4. build your new apex (i understand some techs rebalance by removing less bulk and filing in the new apex but I always build a new apex with new product, personal preference I guess:) )

if a backfill is needed (ie, you can see any of the natural nail free edge above the acrylic tip) then i file in a new smile line between steps 1 and 2 and lay new tip color before step 3 (its important to completely debulk the tip when doing backfills to prevent "sandwich nails")
then finish like normal! hth, good luck:)

Remove cuticle from nail plate using cuticle remover, shorten nail length, debulk the acrylic, scrub fresh, apply large bead of acrylic in zone 3. Finish off with buffing and bringing back to a high shine. x

Now the problem i have is removing the lifted product, ive seen some threads on here saying that to tackle that last, i always dived in there 1st, oooopppppssss!!!

Thanks x x

Hiya .. I am a gel girl but just something i noticed from your post...."apply large bead of acrylic in zone 3"..........."the problem i have is removing the lifted product"

You may be getting the lifting due to the size of your bead...if its too thick in zone 3 it will lift...this area requires a small bead and made flush to the natural nail making sure that NO product is touching the skin.
