Info on nail competitions!!!

hey i am wondering is there, and where is there nail competitions in Ireland held????????

And how do you go about doing them !

Hi,

Yes we have comps here too, run by the Irish Beauty Professional Association.. I'm afaid you're too late to enter for this year, but you should contact them for next year (you may think it's too soon but you'll have to enter by Oct '09)

This will give you time to get your cv type application ready.. you'll need before and after pics and case studies, pics of your work etc..

Then if you get through to the first stage, you'll be visited by a secret shopper and after that go to Dublin for the actual comp where you'll be doing enhancements (pink and whites) on one hand and a manicure with red enamel on the other, followed by a written exam on all the anatomy and physiology.

There are two catagories.. best nail tech and best nail salon

For best nail salon you will be visited by a secret shopper and a few weeks later a judge.. that's if you get through to the next stage.

Hope I haven't put you off... might enter myself next year... just need a few months now to talk myself back out of it:lol:
