Hi , I'm considering in getting an infra red lamp for my salon to add on after a massage as a nice heat treatment. Does anyone do this ? Also any bad points about it ? Thank you.

Hi Clairebear1974, I'm just wondering if you ended getting in infra red lamp and which you went for? I am thinking of doing the same and think prefer the radiant type but have only managed to find one decent one that I think is the non luminous type.

I have one. I use I before a massage to heat up the tissues and relax the client. Also use it with other treatments like body Microcurrent etc. It's not used as much as I expected it to be, but it's been used quiet a bit. Was worth the £100 I paid.

I’ve used infrared lamps in the past to warm up a back before massage but now I use hot lava shells which is far more effective throughout the treatment and can be used all over the body.
