:(hi everyone i just wanted abit of advice. I have been having my legs waxed for 5 years and have really bad ingrown hairs i have tried everything but nothing works. I hate the thought of going back to shaving but is it my only option will it help my ingrowns if i go back to shaving

Hi - really sorry to hear you're having problems - they can be pesky!

Can you expand a bit on what happens, how soon after waxing, where it happens, is it the same place each time, is it the same therapist, what your after-care routine is, and exactly what you've tried.

Be Strong - keep away from the blades - eh ? :)

Jason.

DRY BRUSH! When your skin is dry and the brush (wood and bristle bath brush), brush your skin quite firmly. Then shower as normal and when your skin is wet, apply some baby oil and pat your skin dry. Result........beautiful soft skin and no ingrown's.

Let us all know how you get on. xxx

hi i have tried dry brushing exfoliating moisturising everyday and using ingrown go. They constantly come up they are now scaring causing to look unsightly. I had my legs waxwd a few days ago and now the follicles on my legs are all swollen

Over-exfoliating can actually exacerbate ingrown hair. You only need to exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week. If you are doing it every day then this could be the problem.

Exactly! Also, you shouldn't be too rough.

Some people are prone to ingrown hairs and if that's the case, you should go to see a dermatologist. xx
