Hi, now that im throwing myself into setting up my own mobile business I obviously need to register with the inland revenue..

Can anyone tell me what this involves? Do you need to tell them how much you expect to earn and if so how on earth do you work that out?
Also, with regards to N.I contributions - what do i have to do about them? Am i right in thinking that you pay a weekly amount and does this depend on what you earn? Or is it something you pay at the end of the year?

You can ring the newly self employed helpline: 08459 15 45 15 , they will take youre details down & give you all the info you need re tax/NI etc. You can apply for a small earnings exemtion cerficate if you epect to earn under a certain ammount, which means you dont have to pay class 2 contributions. hths

:green:thank you - have done that now, they were very helpful! Thanks again!:green:
