I have just completed my level 2 nvq. We covered manicure, nail art and gel enhancements.
I've now got insurance so I'm ready to start getting some clients (eek)
With it being nice weather I'm sure people will be wanting their toes painted. If I have someone for a manicure and they also want their feet doing would the insurance cover me and I'm not actually pedicure trained.

I also am intending to do my Shellac training, am I right in thinking after i have done this I can do Shellac on toes too?

Would appreciate any advice please xx

I would give your insurance company a call and run it by them, they are the ones who will let you know what you are covered for, good luck with your new clients.

as kattyj said check with your insurance, but i would say that if you have done manicure you can paint and file nails and nails are on your feet!!as long as you are just doing file and paint you may be ok, what nvq did you do that didnt cover pedicures?

half of what i get asked for is pedicures an gel toes so may be a good idea to do a course in!!xx

It was a course at college, I wasn't bothered at first but now I know more I wish that it had!
I wonder how easy it would be to just do a course for pedicures? Maybe it's not possible, or too expensive

At CND we do a spa Pedicure class that includes all the products you need and how to use them.

There is also a very thorough mani pedi class as well. Worth looking at?
Although a pedicure is broadly speaking, a manicure of the feet ..... There are special needs for feet as opposed to hands and you need to know them, plus it is a completely different way of working and being shown how helps.
