I was just wondering how you salon owners go about introducing your new therapists to the salon ?
I have never employed any one before so I am learning as I go, any advice would be appreciated.
Do you have some time where you go through all the treatments and how you particularly want them done.
Do you usually offer a discount for new clients booking with the new therapist ?
The therapist I have found is 18 with about 9 months experience in a spa, I have a gut feeling that she will be a good therapist, her trade tests were good.
I want to be a good employer !

are you employing her or is she renting a room / self employed?

i guess before you employed her you should be getting her to do a trade test. if self employed it would be checking out her previous etc.

mine are self employed and they sell themselves although i support them with advertising etc and my clients use them now of course.

also if employed i suggest a watertight trial / probationary period but again cant stress enough trade tests on your / friends / relatives etc?

good luck
