Hi there,
I have read lots of posts on IPL on here but cant seem to find an answer.

Can anyone help. Here is the thing, i would like to consider IPL as a treatment even though i understand the the Health and Safety rules that you are snow under by when starting. But after looking at training websites on the net they all aeem to say you have to NVQ3 trained. I did a fast track Beauty course which was at a very good school and the qualifications i have in things from make up to manicure pedicure and eyelashe extensions are all babtac recognised.

Are there courses that would allow me to train in IPL without NVQ's. Ofcourse i have insurance but does this make no difference

Many thanks

Hi Lipstick

I have recently qualified in IPL.

I started a new job in November and the company we have the machine from sent out a Trainer to train me and two others. We had to complete a written exam after going through various practical treatments, which we all passed so our Certificates were sent through to us.

Although I am NVQ level 3 qualified, I don't know what the other two girls are qualified up to?!

I trained with a company called Chromogenex. It may be worth giving them a call to ask their requirements .

Here is their website

Laser Hair Removal - Acne Treatment - Laser Treatment - IPL Laser - Chromogenex PLC

Hope this helps

Thanks for that info, i will give them a call...

The Lumenis One, is a far superior machine, as is the company.
