I've been waxing females for about 20 years. But I trained in male waxing with Axiom who is awesome!
A female Brazilian/Hollywood takes me between 7-10 minutes tops. I don't know why it takes any longer? It really baffles me. Clients want to be in and out with this kind of wax. Who wouldn't right? They're shocked at how quick and relatively pain free it is....but I honestly don't know why other salons are taking so long. I average between 4-6 new wax clients per week as clients love how quick they can get waxed. I have repeat clients each month and don't miss any stray hairs.

What brand of wax do you use Wendy?

Are you using hot or strip wax? I would love to get to this level - obviously it has taken years but do you have any wisdom you could share? x

I trained first with Lycon here in Ireland, I went on a 6 hour round trip journey to Dublin to a well know Brazillian Waxing Specialist salon and had private one to one training. It was mediocre at best, I never felt fully confident with waxing, It used to take me an hour and half to do my first few Brazilians and then i got it down to about an hour (god only knows what i was doing for an hour haha)

I wanted to be the best I could be at brazilian waxing so I traveled over to england to Kim and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made :) Coming out of the training I was already far more confident at waxing and within a few months nothing scared me and I am able to do a brazilian in 20 mins for regulars and 30 for new clients (this includes welcoming them, right up to taking payment). I have clients who come from as far away as longford (3.5 hours away from me) and arrange their visits to family around their waxing appointment just so they can come to me :)

The only downside I could see is that i did not find Lycon wax compatible with kims method of waxing, I found it too brittle. It was an easy decision for me to switch brands because the technique was amazing , that may not be an option for you when your employed but I would still highly recommend the training :) Can't go wrong with good training , it will last you a lifetime :)

Hi, Which brand did you switch to? Thank you. G

Hi, Which brand did you switch to? Thank you. G

This was back in 2015 so the wax i switched over to then was Perron Rigot.

I've since changed both my technique and wax again , and Noodle is right, I now use the wax:one wax and their technique :)

Hello, may I ask you which wax do you use please? I trying to decide a compatible wax to buy before I go on Kim's wax training..
Thank you xx

May I ask you which Wax are using after Kim's course? I am looking for a compatible wax with Kim's techniques, to buy before I go to do her course.
Many thanks xx

Two of my girls have just trained with Kim. I trained with her many years ago and used Perron Rigot Euroblonde right up until this week when I switched to Kim's wax, Cockney Rebel, which is great.

Either will serve you well until you do your training, but I'm really liking Kim's wax.

Hope that helps

Thank you very much for your advice!!!!

I was looking to get products like wax, after care, cleanser.. etc..from the same brand that is why I was leaning towards Perron Rigot. Another brand is WAX ONE, but since I am not yet a Waxer, I wouldn't know if Kim's wax techniques works well with Wax one? do you know?

Would you mind to give me some advice of which products were you used to buy from Perron Rigot please? I mean the essentials?
I am just trying to set up my trolley, so can start practicing straight after the training with Kim. I will try hers aswell, but to start with, I would like to have the other essentials too.

I am sorry but I have one last question, did you use only non strip wax such as euroblond? or strip wax too with Kim's techniques?

Many thanks xxx

@Sofiss why dont you go on Kims site and just buy her wax that way you will have the same wax you train with and will be ready to rock once you have done the training x

Thank you I may do that x

Thank you I may do that x

I’ve just read in another lost that Kim isn’t doing any training in the near future. Dint know how accurate that is?

Oh nooo!!! I don't know anything about it!! I spoke to her on the phone in the begin of january asking if she had more training dates available this year, she said that she was looking into it and was going to do very soon. I better call her to check it out. I really count on this training!!

Yes that's true as I emailed last week asking for training dates and she replied that she is taking time off for health reasons (up coming surgery) but also to re evaluate her business. No time scale but would email when she had made her decision about training and business etc

Thank you for updating us xx
