Is this a popular treatment?

I did some basic sugaring at college, not much but wondered if it is popular?

Also, where to do training ? Not sure of places that do it in West Yorkshire?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks xx:hug:

what is sugaring twinky winky?? x

Like waxing, an ancient old art of hair removal I believe made by the Egyptians originally!!

Some people claim sugaring is less painful then waxing. Waxing and Sugaring are doing the same thing ... ripping the hair out of the body, of course there is going to be a level of discomfort / pain.

Neither technique is particularly better then the other ... the important thing is using a good quality product and most importantly the skill of the therapist! Do you currently do waxing? If so I would suggest rather then investing in a new system build on your current skills ... go on further training to develop your waxing. Find out about using the latest non-strip waxes from Berins / Perron Riggot.

I wouldn't say it was a popular treatment.I have probably been asked about it only a couple of times in ten years however I know that there are some clients who swear by it (as Fozzio rightly said, some believe it to be less painful but it's no less painful, unless carried out by a trainee as I had, lol, than waxing)
Once you get competent with sugaring and clients find out about you I am sure you would build up a very loyal following, but I think waxing always comes up tops.
sugaring is a ball of sugar paste(I dont know the exact ingredients as I dont do it)the ball is moulded in the hands until workable then rolled over the skin, which then removes the hair.Sometimes a wax strip is used for certain areas such as eyebrows.

Sugaring is like waxing in terms of skill.HTH
