Hiya Geeks :)

Just looking for a bit of advice...

My fiancé has had this black dot on the side of his nose for a couple of years now. Initially we thought it was a black head. But it doesn't seem to want to come out! You can get a bit out, but it's very deep rooted. So if it is a black head it needs a different method of removal lol

It bugs him and it bugs me (doesn't bug me cosmetically, you know when you just want to get rid of something lol).

I've taken a few extremely zoomed in up close pictures to show you (sorry if anyone's just had their dinner, it looks gross lol)

Does anyone know what this could be and how best to remove it? It's driving us mad after all these years of failed attempts lol

Thanks

Xxx

Looks like a blackhead to me. Try a hooped comedone extractor.
Sounds gross, but if you push it from inside the nose at the same time, it might dislodge easier, otherwise its a trip to a dermatologist to get it dug out!

Thank you

I've lost my hooped comedone extractor. I've been using a kirby grip. It's driving me mad haha.

I will try the finger up the nose too haha (using gloves! Lol).

I have a feeling it's going to need a trip to a dermatologist :( I really wanted to get it myself for my own satisfaction ;) xxx

Seriously it drives me mad but it hurts after a while so he makes me stop! Grrrr lol. I've tried heat yes :(

I might get him drunk to numb it and then attack him and leave him with a gaping hole once I've got it out haha xxx

What about using a lancet to prope it out . That way won't create dahe to the other skin or vessels capillaries around the area

Beauty at your finger tips!

Cotton bud up the nose. Get him to hold it and push against the back of it. The probe might not be a bad idea, especially if its deep rooted.

Wow I would love to have a go at removing that!

Only suggestions I have, have already been mentioned. That area is quite tricky, I usually wrap my two index fingers with tissue and go in at a different angle. One finger below the nostril and one above the blackhead and squeeze! Not sure that is very helpful as I'm sure you have tried all angels.

Show us a picture when you have removed it! That is so gross ;)

Did it just appear overnight? Has it grown in size over that period of time?

Don't remember when it actually appeared but I know I have tried to remove it many times over the last year or two.

It hasn't changed in size. I've managed to get some of it out a few times but then a couple of days later it looks like this again. I've never managed to get the whole thing out.

It's just such a sensitive area and makes your eyes water lol xxx

Wooohooo I done it ;)

Just done what I normally do but held a hot compress longer than normal. Used a kirby grip to ease it out.

Here's step by step pics haha

I love it ;)

Thanks everyone xxx
