Hi Everyone..I have just joined today and I would like some help from you lovely members!

I am about to embark on a new career doing manicures at my local hairdressers after completeing a college course..and I feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of products on the market!

I have decided to go with either CND or OPI for nail products and colours but I only have a small counter space to have display on...what 10 or 12 nail varnish colours would you recommend to start me off as there are so many to choose from!
Thanks everyone for any help.

You have to look at this: http://www.salongeek.com/groups/cnd+lovers-+colour+revolution+starts+here!!!!-228.html

Man alive this is so perfect for you and you'll have room for the whole collection and be able to offer 800 colours ... yep you heard me and you are just in time .. timing is everything isn't it?

As far as mani and pedi products there is nothing as lush as CND. You can view the procedures for both mani & pedi on CND - Creative Nail Design, Professional Nail, Hand and Foot Beauty Products - Artificial Acrylic Nails and Brisa Gel.

You will have to register on the site ... just put United Kingdom in as your country and you won't need to fill in a lisence number to join. Then click on education and watch the mani and pedi videos. Give them 5 minutes to buffer before viewing the whole video. These are very high quality videos and need to buffer first on your PC or it will drive you mad!! You will see just how to perform the services and view the lush products ... shame you won't be able to smell them too. enjoy.

Starter packs for both mani & podi products are very reasonable and also contain the DVD's. There are also free classes when you purchase the kit if you need them. Nothing else to say really ... CND have madeit all very easy for you to get started .... best of luck.

Welcome to Nail Geek and good luck in your new venture. With a small work space i would tend to go for season colours and the fave french polishes. However you could have a case to pop other polishes in as an additional selecton for your clients to choose from. If you look at magazines and see what celebs are wearing and that can help as a selling point as you can say colour worn by ...... Good luck with your new venture. Bec.

Thanks for all the advice I will keep you posted how my new venture goes.

good luck with it all and keep your head up and strong that way you will get through whatever is thrown at you x
