hey geeks

my dad has got into his mp3 player whilst working, but can no longer download free music due to all the laws and what not.. any hoo, we are thinking of getting him an itunes voucher for fathers day but can you then put the songs you buy onto a normal say sony mp3 player? i read somewhere you had to burn the music onto a cd and then copy it to an mp3 player which sounds like a bit of a joke? thanks in advance :D

Id reccommend finding out what file formats his mp3 player supports and then trying the likes of tesco, pretty sure they sell music to download rather than a cd. Probaby abit cheaper too! As for i tunes, i know you have to download the program, which converts mp3s etc into an ipod friendly format, but im not sure if the music they sell is already in said format, if the program converts it to the required format you need. Hence my recommendation, saves a headache! Hth xx
