Hello,

I've been offered a desk rental in a local salon on a self-employed basis.

I no nothing about these so I just wanted to get your advice as to whether what shes offering sounds 'ok' to you.

I supply everything-down to the table, I can work when I want and choose my hours. She will take appointments for me and supply tea coffee etc for my clients.

I pay her 20% of my earnings.

How does this sound? I think its good, but I have no idea and there aren't alot of rentals round here to get some info from.

Your advice would be much appreciated :)

Bite their hands off----20% is a very good deal.

Sounds good to me :D I pay 25% of each treatment its good being on a % basis as you don't have to pay anything if you don't make any thing hth xx

Sounds really good. Just make sure you get everything in writing, in the form of a contract;)

If you retail products, ie solar oil, files, hand creams etc would she take 20% off that too or is she just taking 20% of treatments?

sounds good my mate works in a salon they tak 20%

Thanks for your replies everyone

Think I'll definatley take her up on the offer :)

How scarey and exciting !

i think what's offered sounds like a fab deal! especially taking bookings because if you do actually decide you ever want a day off then you wont miss any calls. have you asked about how busy they get? passing trade? have you had a look yourself at what the area outside is like with people passing by? def get a feel for the place and area before signing/agreeing anything :)

good luck! x
