its my first year as mobile therapist and after having a really fab start january is dead! obviously snow turning people off getiing treatments as theyre not going out im jus woried what feb holds as finanacially it bites!

This is my first jan in the business so cant compare to anything but so far its been ok for me but next week is quiet but i think its to be expected and like you say the snow really doesnt help:|

Give it time it's only really been a week so far in January and what with the weather,,,, I found last week people were only coming to me if they can walk to me or if they really needed their appointment.
There is still 3 weeks in January it can still change are you advertisning?????

yer ive advertised in the local booklet which covers 7 local areas and ive advertised on the net n once weather gets out was thinking of going to some local businessses like gp surgery etc??

It will pick up,,,,,no one really wants to be going out in this weather.
Hopefully once's the snow clears up it will soon pick up,,,,January can be quiet anyway.
hope it picks up soon

Demand for my Bio Sculpture Nails hasnt changed at all since Summer, im lucky!

I thought it snowed in Bucks too! Half our clients cancelled or postponed last week.Jan and Feb are not usually great for us but not dire either. the last week or so have been very quiet.

This time of year people usually cut back on what they perceive to be non-essentials, the reality check of the post Christmas credit card bill arriving will be reason enough for a lot of people to hold off on beauty treatments until they are more financially stable.

So don't get too disheartened with business being slow, it will pick up as the weather gets better.

do hope so. I have been reading in the papers that all the big retailers are claiming their best xmas ever. Our xmas trade was ok but nowhere near our best ever! Judging by some of the posts on this forum, apart from those that do the same clients every week or fortnight, the rest of us are finding it a bit sticky at the moment.
