Hi everyone, we use Gelish brand in the salon and the black we have is called black shadow, which Gelish say is their ‘jet black’ however the client that has this every time she comes in has now decided it is more a very dark blue 😩 so….can anyone recommend a brand that lasts like Gelish which does have a jet black and in your experience….does it work using the Gelish foundation and top coat or will we have to get a matching set to what black we buy?
thank you

This is an old video, but it might help answer your question -

You’d need the matching base and top coat plus lamp for another brand because mixing brands can lead to product breakdown and allergies.

It doesn’t make financial sense to splash out on a second brand for just one client, so only do that if you think you’ll gain enough business to justify the outlay when offering two different gel brands.

Absolutely black Ikon.iQ covers in one coat. Does not change colour with wear. Good for nail art too.

I have to say Ikon.iq gel Polish are amazing for true colours. They are so pigmented and black is really black.
