i landed on thursday lunchtime after a 9 hour flight and i'm still feeling terrible.
every joint in my body hurts, i feel weak and dizzy, headache and upset tummy , shaking hands, hot then cold and an overwhelming sleepiness, etc etc. i felt rough after the last time i made this trip, but not for as long.
is this jet lag, or is it something more. plese give me your instant cure jet lag advice ! i feel like poo !

a lot of peeps say you should get completley drunk and go to bed , but i never do that , so cant say if it works or not
i usually just try get a few hours kip when you get in then go to bed at normal time which helps ,
i sympathise , one time we went away we had all been up like 18hrs (thats inc a 10 hr flight) and were totally  the kids are worst , their body clock goes to pot , lol
we got to canada the 1st time and it was 10 at night there and the kids were just totally to pot fro about 3 days , pmsl they were wide awake at like 2 in the morning

Couple of liters of water and sleep.
Paul says to avoid it in future you should drink the water before boarding, sleep on the flight and have more water every time you wake and when you get of.
But jet lag shouldn't last more then 48 hours tops, think you might be ill hun, go see your doctor :hug:

I do a nine hour flight every year and this is how I cope with it.

I try to sleep on the plane as much as possible. When I get home I eat according to home rules and stay awake. I then go to bed at a lateish UK time and from the next day it starts to improve - though it does take a couple of days to feel quite normal.

You do need lots of water but my sister always feels like you do. It has something to do with dehydration and the effects of flying on the inner ear, which causes sickness and nausea.

If you don't feel better soon - see your GP. HTH

thanks gals, i felt fine when i arrived at my destination and adjusted really easily, but now i'm back its all gone wrong !
i'll see how i am in the morning, maybe another night will sort it out.
