Friday 20th January 2012 saw the final deadline for entries into the Scratch Stars 2012 awards and even now, as you read this, the judges are perusing all entries (nearly 1000 of them!) and deciding who makes it through as first line finalists.

Founded in 2003, by Scott Derbyshire and Alex Fox, Scratch magazine continues to be the sassiest, most comprehensive and downright cool title in the nail industry and Sunday May 20th 2012 will see the first Scratch Star awards ceremony held at Cafe de Paris in London.

Scratch Magazine says, "For over 30 years, the nail industry has slowly and carefully developed and flourished under the beauty industry umbrella. It has spawned unbelievable talent and rising stars alongside incredible skill and magnificent products – and this is why it’s time to reach out and recognise those that move and shake this industry.

Right now, the nail world is experiencing exponential growth during difficult economic times, as nail stylists, distributors and manufacturers alike embrace the consumer’s affection for stunning nails. We are expecting remarkable times, so Scratch is going to grab the industry by the collar, shake it and scream – ‘AMAZING NAILS’ by introducing Scratch Stars – the awards ceremony dedicated solely to the nail industry."

To say that Salon Geek is excited about this event is an understatement. It's great to see an event rewarding the passion and dedication that so many of us have for this industry. Plus, if you get your tickets in time, you'll also get to hand out with nail idols, drink bubbly, and chow down on some fabulous canapees! Now, don't tell me THAT doesn't tempt you...

Interested? Then tickets are available NOW at the price of £65+VAT (10% discount for parties of 8 or more). Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis so we'd advise you to get a wriggle on and get in touch with:

Pam - 01959 547000 during office hours Monday - Friday 08.30am - 17.30pm or alternatively email [email protected] with your requirements.

Until then...geek on!
