Hi anyone have any experience with nail art stamping. I have the konad with a couple of plates & a couple of polishes ( a friend bought it for me as a gift from the states) I have been using this for complimentary nail art with any enhancements as its quick and easy . But I did a French Mani on natural nails on Fri and at the end I included floral stamped nail art in black with gems left it to dry (dry`s pretty quick anyway) well what a nightmare ..............:grr: ....... every time I put my top coat on the nail art bled I removed and repeated this three times with different top coats (quick dry, normal, too much fun top coat which is normally great on my airbrush art) thank god she only had it on rings & thumbs that took long enough.
In the end I gave up with much embarrassment and stamped the art over the top coat and put the gem on with nail glue. My point is this has never happened when stamping acrylic or gel and I always put glaze`n` go on as my top coat and it is normal polish only of a thicker consistency has anyone got any ideas other than buying konad top coat its doing my head in!!!!!

Hi Karen,
I use KONAD Stamping sometimes before I do gloss gel with no prob at all.The only time I had this problem was the time I used this cheap nail polish (my client ask for that colour:rolleyes:).From now on I use only good quality nail polish for stamping nail art and Pronails Hot Gloss - hight shine finisher.
Hope this help u.

I have a Konad kit that i bought when on honeymoon in the States.
I have only ever had problems when using a cheap top coat. However, I have done the base colour, and put top coat on that, then done the konad stamp on the top. It looks shiny enough on its own, and because it is done with nail varnish, and not stickers or decals, it stays on just fine, and doest peel or chip off. If i put gems on, i put them on with nail glue or resin.

If you want to put top coat on top, i would reccommend a small amount on the brush, try and cover the whole design with one stroke.(i dont cover the whole nail with this one). Wait for that to dry, then put your normal amount of top coat on top. You wont have any problems as the design has been covered by the first little bit of polish.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply`s guys. I will pick up a bottle of the "official" Konad top coat at the exhibition next week - still don`t get it as it works ok on enhanced nails and the top coats I tried are OPI & ORLY & Too Much Fun (airbrush paint). Hey Ho life goes on ! xx

Hi I use a stamping kit for all my nail art and I had this problem when I first started using it but I found if you dont ude to much top coat and wait for the art to be dry then there is no bled. I tend to do nail art on all the nails and by the time I have done all the nails the art work is normally dry when I come to put the top coat on.
