Koobface virus - Techy geeks

Hi all
Can anyone recomend a downloadable aniti-virus software to get rid of this pesky virus.

If you are not aware of this virus you should read about it...its a pain in the rear!

It has started on facebook and bebo....(I dont belong to either, however I have teenagers who apparently do and hence if you have kiddies, young adults you really should be careful)

This virus sends a message saying things like"I have seen you and you look pretty funny", inviting you to click on the link to send you to YOUTUBE where you watch something....

This virus is affecting google and one other search engine you appear to just be in a loop all the time....you can get rid of this by putting in the address in the address bar....as I have done!

So, if anyone can recomend anything I would really appreciate it, many thanks

I've found SUPERAntiSpyware.com - AntiAdware, AntiSpyware, AntiMalware! to be pretty good. It was recommended some time ago by other geeks.

i use ...spybot...adware and AVG8 all are free and free to download...find them spot on excellent at getting rid of stuff like that..its good to have a few different ones cause they can pick up different probs...you need to download them...run then 1 at a time once you have done this shut down your computer then switch it back on and do them once more to make sure also clear all your cookies...i no this sounds a pain but does work.xx

I use AVG and Spybot too and they ROCK.

Never have the problems that I had with McAfee and Nortons.

Hubby had nortons and got whaked, while I didn't
