Hi

Just looking for advice to refresh my sisters warm chocolate brown hair colour

can I mix diarichesse 5.35 with 4.00
Or mix 5.35 with 5.00
Just thought mixing it with 4.00 would give it more depth

4.00 in Richesse?
You only need to use tone for a refresh in any of the range.
Also the 4.00 is resistant grey coverage

It depends on the result that you are looking for, you would lose some of the tone if you mix it with a base shade, and make the colour look deeper.

In some cases this can be useful, for example if your client has a lighter natural level e.g 6, and you apply 5.35 as the natural colour does not have enough depth the properly support the colour and can take on the full impact of the .35 tone. This can appear too warm or bright so by adding in some base to the color it will give you a more natural look.

So although it might not be taught to be used that way, if you understand why you are mixing something then there is no problem. But try not to get into the habit of mixing base into your colors without a specific reason.
