Hey geeks!
I'm calling Monday to set up my L&P course, I'll be taking the "Beginners" that provides the basics in anatomy etc. For those not in the know: I have m DEP in cosmetology but it's 21yrs old. Plus a basic UV Gel course, plus a course in Gel-resine (aka tip-n-dip).
I'm already an established tech in UV Gel for the last 4.5yrs, plus 15 or so years experience with gel-resine.
I'm taking the beginners to refresh my 'basics' knowledge and bring it up to date, as opposed to taking the L&P for established techs.
(this course here: http://www.francelecuyer.com/english/images/pdf/complet_anail_acry2 doc.pdf )
Also, to perhaps correct any techniques that I've adopted that are 'wrong' or that were taught to me 'wrong'.... if that makes sense.
My question is this: should I bother signing on for the Avanced L&P course, immediately to follow the Beginners?
(this one: http://www.francelecuyer.com/english/images/pdf/acrylic-advance 2 doc.pdf )
It covers: sculpting, repairing a chipped nail with a form, designs with coloured L&P, and troubleshooting.....
My thoughts are that I know how to sculpt and repair with UV gel, and as for the designs... I already know how, I've read soooooooooooooo much... it'll just be about putting it into practice and using the tuts found here and elsewhere.
The only thing I see of use in that 2nd course is the troubleshooting of L&P... but am thinking I'd be better off scheduling a one-2-one, a month or so later strictly for that? Would cost less....
BUT then... I get back to the diploma dilemma...
What are your thoughts on this?
THANKS!!
