L&P Display

Does anyone know if you can use colour pops to build L&P on to display coloured L&P, Glitter L&P etc. I wouldn't usually ask such a question, I would normally just try it myself and see but I don't have any spare colour pops at present. I have it in my head that they would possibly just melt/break for some reason but don't know why I think this? Any experiences much appreciated.
