Hi there, a friend of mine would like me to do l&p on her big toe, because as a child she damaged it. So my question is, would it be ok just to sculpt straight on to it, or should I stick a tip to it with Gelbond and then apply l&p over, because the nail itself is very uneven and ridged. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You could do either option. As you are so new to nails I think a tip might give you a better and stronger result. Be very careful during prep as the skin surrounding the toe nails is much more tender than the skin surrounding the fingernails. And keep the toe nail SHORT ... do not be tempted to make it long enough to have pressure on it from winter shoes.

Another thing ... toe nails do not require an apex and injuries can result if you build one in so just keep the product even and thin.
