Hi im just wondering how 2:2 for example works does it mean hold brush in powder for 2 seconds and then the liquid. My ratio is a little off and im trying to rectify this.

I dip into L and wipe all one side of my brush and half of the other. I find that's a good ratio to then hold into powder for a count of 3 to get a decent bead/pearl. xxx

No it doesn't mean two seconds, it means 'two parts liquid to two parts powder'. With a brush it's almost impossible to know how much liquid is in a brush which is why we have to practise bead pick up over and over again until you work out the right ratio. NailsbyHayley has given you a good starting point, using the counting method is the best was to achieve consistency, but you need to work out your amount of wipes/holds/etc. based on your brush size, how hard you wipe, brand requirements, etc. Start with Hayley's suggestion and tweak where necessary.
