I am about to set up as a mobile therapist and would like to provide a nail extension service (L&P or Gel). I did complete a L&P course with NSI about 7 years ago but have not provided this service for about 6 years as I moved to a salon where they had their own nail techs. I have been hearing a lot about gel nails (Calgel, EZflow, Biosculpt) and wondered if I would be better retraining with gel (are all the gel systems basically the same just with different names) or do you think I would be able to do a L&P refresher course? Have I left it too long to do just a refresher course? All advice greatly appreciated!!!:Scared:

I think you should visit CND at the Fingertips Centre and do a refresher course and learn about the wonderful CND gels as well. There are so many gels that do different things .. way to many to go through it all here (although the info is on here if you want to do a search). There are soft gels, hard gels, buff off and soak off gels and so forth. Allot to learn.

My advise is to stick with L&P which at least you know something about .. do a refresher with CND and then go on to learn about gels. There are different techniques to learn with gel and the majority of clients still want L&P as a first choice.

The fingertips Centre can be contacted by phone on 0131 3333180 or [email protected]

Thanks for that I will contact The Fingertips Centre:p

They are wonderful and so friendly too. You won't be sorry you called.
