hi all,
Iam looking at training in eye lash extentions but iam abit confused. ive been looking on here at other theads on lash extensions and theres so many different types? some take 20-30 mins to apply and others can take up to 2 hrs. whats the differene? how long do they last? which ones are best?

thanks jane

Hi Jane.

there is different types of lash extensions

a) Express lashes that applied in 20 minutes, last about 7-10 days and you can charge the client about £45 for a set
b) Semi permanent lash extensions that can last up to 3 months with infills (just like nails) that you can charge about £125 plus infils
c) obviously the strip lashes that only last a couple of days but are the perfect alternative for everyone that just wants the "look" for a single night..............for everyone that wants a look beyond that ......its best looking at the other options :O))))

ideal thank you. iam looking at training in flirties, which type are they??

You're right there are different kinds and the tried and true method that has been done for years and years is the application of one single synthetic lash ( single, Y, Rapid, Mink) adhered to one single natural lash. There are many different companies that provide training with these semi permanent lash extensions. If these lashes are done properly, they are seamless and just look like natural lashes. Of course you can also use thicker and longer lashes to create a more dramatic eye. After about three weeks the client comes in for a fill where new lashes are added. With this system there is no need to remove all the lashes at fill time. HTH

Flirties uses the method of separating the lashes to create the perfect bond. These lash extensions last about 3 months with infills and give a natural look and feel. hth

cool, thanks for your help:)

Ask Geeg, she's the expert.

Thanks for that Jogles ... but I think Britta, in this instance, has given the same reply I would have given if she had not got there first. Nice of you to acknowledge my new expertise though.

With the great training I HAVE HAD with Nouveau Lashes, I feel totally comfortable with my application and actually find it a surprisingly easy treatment to perform. Nouveau supply all three types of eyelashes that Britta lists but are known best for individual lash extensions that Jogles explained. Nice to have choices to offer clients.

Some make out as if lashes are so difficult, but I think not ... it is exacting and one needs to be dexterous and methodical and thorough as well as having an idea about design .......... but if one has those things then it is not only fun but quite easy to learn to do.

Enjoy it Jane. OH .. I see Jogles has edited her post, and actually answered part of your question.
