I know there thousands of post on here about them...

But rather than search through them for aaaaaages, i thought id just ask the question.

When i trained at college we were taught how to do the tempory lashes..u know the ones that last about a day :lick: the kind of lashes were a bulb with several 'lashes' attatched to it.

Are the semi-permenant lashes different to this? I had some done at a salon the other week, and these were the lashes she used, but im guessing with a stronger glue??

Id love to do the training for these, as i absolutley loved mine when they were in. Also is there a specific way for them to come out, as i wasnt advised what to do and ended up pulling mine out one they started growing out (which is v.naughty and i should know better as a therapist)

The lashes you did at college were cluster lashes/flare lashes, which have a bulb with 4 or 5 lashes attached.
The semi-permanent lashes are singles lashes where one single lash is attached to one lash. These lashes last the life of your lashes and can be topped up every 2/3 weeks.
Therse lashes are attached with very strong glue and need to be removed with a debonder by a technician.

Thankyou...thats helped alot :D

Think im definatley gonna get this on my training 'to do' list, as im judging by all the threads they are going down v.well in salons??

Hi

I trained at college with the same lashes as yourself. I was looking into doing lashes like hollywood and I have had a few clients asking me so I have put the ones on that I trained with and they are lasting 2 weeks, ok some clents do loss a couple in this time.I have had a great response with them which was a bit of a shocker really. I really bulk them in I use nearly a whole pack on one client. so many people want them for one night, specail occassions,,, it takes me 20 minutes to do. I was testing the waters before I did the proper training,, I think the cluster lashes gives you the Jordon look not go if you want them to look natural. I'm still not sure weather to do the Hollywood training and look into other companies.

hey I do the individual lashes... the look of the single lashes is very natural and less dramatic, and very time consuming probably better for the older clients.
The lashes you used at college look great, using black glue and different lengths. If you give good after care advise they last longer than a day or so, I am currently wearing them and get loads of compliments and they only take 15-20mins to apply!
How much are you charging for them? The price of the individual is way higher to the others, so I am a little confused as to what to charge.

Whilst the cluster lashes are a quick fix and ideal if you want to go out for the night they dont last as long and look unnatural as the natural lashes would normally not grow criss cross like the cluster lashes,

Semi permanent lash extensions last a lot longer and give a very natural look, however with the right technique, mix/design of lashes and colours you can achieve some very special and dramatic looks that still maintain the natural look!

If you have learned how to do the semi permanent lash extensions you can even combine the two - ie if you have someone that has slight gaps in their natural lash line you can fill in the odd cluster lash to fill that gap till the natural lash grows back, however whether its clusters, Y-lashes or single lashes...they all are extensions and you can only apply them if your client has got natural and healthy lashes to begin with :O))

Heyyy .. yeh i think it was cluster lashes you are used to.. the ones everyone talks about on here and you prob see advertised in salons etc are invidiual eyelash extensions.. they are amazin and you go back every two weeks to get your top up so they just look like new again :) xxx

was just wondering if you would use the same glue to apply cluster lashes as the semi permenant lashes?? as the cluster would be attached to the skin, off to do my lash traing at the end of the month so not doing them yet, after reading the thread was just wondering x

I have different glue for my individual lashes as its far more expensive than the glue for the cluster lashes. You would still apply them to the lashes not the skin. Thats how I have always been taught.
