Hiya.
Just did my lash training yesterday!
omg, im finding them really quite difficult!! :Scared:
i know its very early days but did anyone else find them really difficult at first?
did u get that 'lightbulb' moment where u think 'aha! ive got it!!' and then it seemed a whole lot easier?
Thanks in advance for your comments/help/advice :green:

I FOUND THEM AWKWARD AND TEDIOUS AT FIRST. There's allot to get used to.
Little cups of adhesive, using tweezers in both hands, isolating a lash and then keeping it isolated while you remove an individual lash and then adhere it etc etc. Of course it is going to feel very awkward at first.

By the third set I'd got it and was working much more easily. You learn something new with each and every set you do. Easy clients ... not so easy clients, people who are quite relaxed and others whose eye lids flutter all the time  Anyway, they are definitely not my passion in life but I do enjoy the results and the client reaction .. for me it is a bit of a mechanical process rather than a truly creative one.

practice makes perfect! Keep going, at first it is nightmare - then it turns into pleasure

Oh god when i did my training i was like 'oh i'm never gonna get the hang of this'!
I struggled isolating a lash, i struggled finding a lash!
I struggled keeping my tweezers still, i struggled getting the lashes on the right way and getting them adhere.
Basically, i struggled-lol
I've only done about 12 or 13 sets now and am getting about 50 lashes per eye on in 90-120 mins.
It really does get easier. I love doing them and find them very therapeutic and i'm no expert but know exactly how you're feeling!
Keep at it, you'll get there

Hi.....I can soooooooo understand how your feeling!
I have been thinking exactly the same thing. I had to do 6 case studies and and to be honest the first 3 were very iffy to say the least. But by the time i had done my other 3 I was getting faster, the positioning and glueing of the lashes more consistent. I wouldn't say i have had a light bulb moment i think it is just a case of practice and patience my biggest issue is with isolating a single lash. Stick with it, it will come with time (i also decided not to look at the pros at the shows doing it this time because they all make it look so easy). xx

hi
awe man i can feel your pain, when i first started practicing i thought OMG what on earth have i done, i will NEVER get the hang of this. it was taking me over 3 hours to get about 30 lashes on each eye to begin with!!!!!!! but i promise you, after a few sets you will start to find your own way of working and after a few more you will thinking "what was i worried about" it is definatly one of those treatments that just "clicks" eventually if you know what i mean. i have been lashing for a while now and i have to say it is a passion of mine, love doing the treatment and love the reaction from my clients. dont worry too much about speed to start with, its far more important that you perfect your techinque and you will get quicker with practice.
just keep going and practice, practice, practice xx

Oh don't you worry, you will get there hunni
As long as you have loads of people to practice on or even a few sets of false eyelashes to work on. You will be fine.

I wouldn't say I had a light bulb moment but I have had a few moments :Scared:

Like the other week when half way though a set of lashes I noticed that my tweezers had managed to stuck them self to my jade stone  that was a lovely mess. Just as well the client had her eyes shut. I spent 5 minutes trying to get them off and then clean them up. I told my client we just had to let the lashes rest and bond fora few moments ha ha.

Not to mention the amount of time I have spent isolating a lash to then struggle to pick up the by the time I've got it 5 other natural wee lashes have jumped back in beside my isolated lash :p

Each set you do will get a little better and you will learn a little more.
Just remember we all learn by our mistakes and it does take time to get into the swing of things and find your own routine.

Good Luck
Relax a little and enjoy it .... you will be lashing away before you know it xx

I echo what everyone has said! When I started I really couldnt get my left hand to work, my hands to stop shaking of my eyes to not cross lol
