Hi I'm getting really confused with the semi permanent lashes. I have read that they last from 3/4 week up to 10/12 weeks, and have no idea what the difference is. All the salon adverts appear to be the single lashes applied to a single eyelash so are the same. Can anyone please give me any better idea of what to expect? Also does anyone do lower eyelashes, and if so are they ok? Thanks.

Hey,
We do " Lash extentions " other wise called semi permanent lashes, thats where you put a single lash on top of your natural lashes, & they can last up to 4weeks.. You can get your lower lashes done too.

The difference is the semi permanent lashes are single lashes where as the "false eyelashes" come in a strand.

Hope this helps :)

Hi

Semi permanenet eyelashes are attached one at a time to each individual lash. They take about 1.5 to 2 hrs to put on. Strip lashes come in a strip, and cluster lashes are several lashes on a strand attached to your lashes.

The latter 2 are only meant to last a weekend at the most. Semi permanent lashes on the other hand, can last up to 8 weeks with regular infills.

Regular infills are usually done at 2-3 weeks to replace any lost and fill in any gaps.

Attaching lashes to the lower lash is more of an advanced treatment since they have to be put on with the eyes open. HTH:hug:

Thanks for that. I have taken the plunge today and had the hollywood lashes done. It took exactly an hour and to be honest you can hardly tell I had them done. I'm really disappointed. My lashes just look a bit darker. What do you think went wrong?

Can anyone give me any advice on this please?

Pictures are very small, but I think that you have only few lashes applied.

Not that we can see much as the pics are very small,
but it looks like they have been done by someone who hasn't got a lot of experience, hence why you cant see much of a difference,
can you tell us how much you were charged and how long it took the person to apply them for you,
a bigger pic would be good too if you can do that,

if you click on my user name you will get an option to go to my profile,
i have an album in there with some lash pics where you can see what they should look like, this will give you something to compare with, hth

hi, sorry but the site made me reduce the photo to that size before i could post them. they cost £40 and took exactly an hour. i did telephone first (after the helpful advice on this thread) to enquire if they were the individual or the cluster ones, and was told that they were the individual hollywood lashes, and exactly the same as the ones anyone else advertised. i have looked at the album photos on here and mine dont look anywhere near as nice. Maybe I should go somewhere else for my infills and ask for them to be fuller?

ps. Loubylou mine don't look like any of yours. Yours look great.

have put original pictures in an album in my profile so they should be bigger, thanks.

Hi agree, that they dont look like you have many or the right ones applied. Whilst therapists obviously get quicker and more experienced with time it does sound awefully quick to only take an hour for the whole appointment bearing in mind consultation, preparation and application of the extensions!

Generally a set of extensions would be around 60 lashes (depending on the layout of the natural lashline) but you would know better if you have had anywhere as near as that? Did you check if the therapist was certified or was she offering this as part of her training or case studies maybe???

Thanks for the bigger pics,
i can see why you are disappointed now, i would be inclined to make a complaint as the therapist is clearly in the learning stage (if a course has been taken at all) they should have explained to you that the therapist is not up to scratch with them yet,
it should definitely have taken longer, then you would have more fitted,
im not too far from you if you ever fancy a good set.

Thanks for the advice. The person was the salon owner and the salon is situated in a large sports center so I assumed she would be experienced. I thought an hour didn't sound long after reading all the threads on here. I just didn't want it to be me who had too high expectations if you see what I mean. I never asked how many lashes she had applied so dont really know. When I get my infills I will definately ask, but think I will try another salon. If I ever have time to travel for lashes I would definately contact you Loubylou, as yours look great. Thanks to those who commented on my photos aswell.
