Hi everyone! I'm new to this message board, and fairly new to nails as well and I'm sure I will have a million and a half questions to ask you all!
My first question is, why am I so darn slow at fills?
I use LCN and the way that I apply a full set, is tip-white french(or whatever colors they choose)-gel-sealant.
So basically, the color is wayyy down there....so if my client changes color at their fill, i need to get down there and remove that color, or it will sometimes shine through.
I have considered changing the way I do my first set, and put the color on after the gel, and before the sealant....but sometimes I find I have to put a color on fairly thick so that it's not transparent and if i'm only doing the tip in color....I don't want that ridge after i apply my sealant.....or should I apply 2 coats even though thats an extra step?
Does anyone have any advice or tricks with using LCN that will speed up my fill time? And if there is anyone using LCN, whats your average fill time? What should I be striving for?
Thanks!

Hey there! Welcome to LCN =) It's a great product line.

I have a few questions first. Have you done your first level of training? When I did mine, they didn't teach how to sculpt french, just doing clear overlays and how to paint on white french. However I was already a tech with NSI so I knew how to do it.

If you want to continue doing the paint-on white, I reccomend prepping, applying bonder, doing a thing layer of builder, then doing the paint on white, doing another layer of builder then sealant.

so you're basically sandwiching it between. another option is to learn to use white sculpter.

I'd reccommend going with Brisa for that. The white sculpture gel is fantastic. You prep, bond, apply sculpture, apply clear builder and then seal.

It works really great because you dont get any shadowing.

I hope this helped!
