I've done a few sets of extensions with tips using lechat nobility recently and they all seem to start splitting across the stress area. I've done two sets french and 1 set natural. I built an apex with a string across the stress area on all of them. They said it only started happening just before they came back for 2-3 wk in-fills but i could do with it not happening at all because i've had to soak most of them off and re-do them. Is Nobility definately strong enough for extensions? If so any tips or advise????

Definately. I do an extra layer of nobility over tips, I also use the Le Chat gelee top coat, its a non soak but only need a quick file to get back down to the nobility layers, its really strong hth

thanks is that in the red bottle?

I use nobility over a tip, I keep them short as I find it works better with the tips a little shorter, the split could be client abuse??, as you have said that this happend before 2-3week infill i expect it is, do you give them aftercare leaflet?? I sometimes think that when i hand my leaflet to the client about looking after their enhancements, its used to write on the back their next weeks shopping list lol.

Red topcoat is from the powder gel range, cure first layer 15secs then 2nd thin layer 2-3mins, works a treat on my hairdresser who is a nightmare client.

hth

i use it often over tips .
i would think the reason is because the apex has grown out of balance as its just prior to fill time.
try to make a vertical apex by applying some gel down the centre of the nail it will act like a 'spine' and give strength.
