Lev 3 Beauty therapy work placements?

Hello All,
Im a complementary therapist and did level 2 beauty training...I didnt go on to do my level three..but ive heard that you now have to do a work placement each week as aswell ?

Hmmm I have heard of this in hair courses but not in beauty.I know you would have to do work exp. Unless it has changed since last year?
Best thing for you to do would be to contact the college who will b able to tell you more.

I have a level 3 beauty therapist on work experience, and yes she has to do 1 day a week for the duration of the course.

I'm currently doing Level 3 and we've got to do just a week of work experience in february...not sure why mine is different!

when i was at college when we were discussing going onto level 3 nothing was said, as it was an apprenticeship we were ment to be in a salon for the rest of the week but non of us were..cos no salons were taking on!!

The local college has started doing this. I have two level three students (one on a Friday, one Saturday). And also the level two students have to do this now (have one on a Wednesday, one on a Thursday). As you can probably tell ten years down the line I still have trouble saying no to my old tutor! :irked:
