Hi everyone!
I’m starting my level 2 & I’m after kit tips!
What do I need to start buying? I do get a college kit but very basic!!! I want the best kit I can have for clients as I already have a good client base as I do many other treatments so I’ll be practising as soon as I learn anything new [emoji4]

What do I need to buy?? Best brands etc
Also I want to invest in a good set of scissors [emoji418]️ what’s best to get to start with what size etc!

Many thanks [emoji8]

Any recommendations on scissors & brushes for curly blow dries? Xxx

Biggest tip: Don't take expensive scissors to college. They will get borrowed and dropped, thus ruining them.

Buy some basic jaguar scissors (or similar brand) and use those.
1. Cutting head block hair will blunt them more quickly anyway
2. Dropping them can seriously damage very expensive scissors
3. Don't let other students borrow your kit. They'll either lose it, leave it dirty or damage it.

Some student hairdressers are especially rubbish at cleaning tint brushes properly. You don't want to be doing a nice blonde root touch up with a brush that's been used to apply a red direct dye and not thoroughly cleaned...(yes, I've seen this happen, but luckily not to me.)

Head jog, Kent and Denman are a decent quality.

Check out Salon International student day on Monday 16th October, ExCel, London. They'll have lots of show offers. I bought a set of head jog brushes at my first show that was about 25% cheaper than normal warehouse price.

Thank you!!
No I definitely never let anyone borrow my kit. I didn’t on my level one course haha. Was the 1st thing our tutor said & I didn’t let anyone!

I’ll have a good look online for some now. Thanks a lot xx
