Hi guys,

I did a set of acrylic last week, it ws an infill, but ontop of nails done somewhere else. And less than a week on they are all starting too lift. I haven't looked at them yet so don't know how bad they are.
The girls is 4mths pregnant.
I paid loads of attention to the prep as normal.

Could it be because she already had a set on from another salon? Should I of soaked them off and started new?
Or could it be because she is pregnant?

Also did my sister in klaw the other the week and the same happened to her & she is 6mths pregnant, so I have put UV Gel on her and they are fantastic.

HELP!!!!!!!!

just a thought but Do you know what the pre existing product was on her nails? I know it shuldnt make a huge diff BUT I can not do any maintance on nails origanily done at a salon close to me, they use "there own salon brand" and my products will not stay put for more than a few days
it took me a while to figuer out the prob was not me and I did loose alot of confordence over it, I now explaine and then go for a plan it's normaly replace them ( takes about 6/8 weeks!!!) or I get them to sighn a disclaimer .
Nails do grow pritty fast when preg tho so maybe,

Hi there. Lifting can happen for various reasons, not only bad or incomplete prep. If you have placed the product to close to the eponychium and/or side walls (touching skin) this will cause lifting, also if the product has been not pressed to the nail plate, this will also cause lifting. Hth

thanks for the help, I will try and find out what product she already had on her nails, I think it will be own salon brand.
Her nails are growing really quickly now she is pregnant.

I did my normal prep & application and these 2 ladies that are both pregnant are the only ones I have had problems with, I have another pregnant lady who hasn't had a problem.

I will do some digging and see what she has been up to. I know she did a bit of decorating so maybe a solvent she used.

Thanks:biggrin:
