lifting

i had acrylic nail enhancements applied 2 days ago and today noticed white marks on the nail plate jus below the smile line on a few of the nails. i thought it was caused by the acrylic lifting so i soaked them off.

to my horror it looks like its my nails that have lifted! as the white bits r still there. what has caused this to happen as i have never had it before???
