There is ALWAYS a reason why. If nail enhancements lift then there is something between the enhancement and the natural nail plate, some barrier that is not allowing the product to bond to the plate. In this case cuticle.

Oily?? Her nails and skin look excessively DRY to me and I can see cuticle on the plate that has not been removed. The skin at the base of her nails also looks inflamed as if she has a skin condition of some sort like dermatitis. Great pictures and very clear to me that she is not your average client..

It looks to me as if you need to do a much more thorough prep and then the client needs to use Solar Oil religiously every day 2-3 times per day to keep the product moisturised too. Gloves wouldn't go amiss either as it is clear that this client takes no care of her skin or nails.

just to add....the red bit of skin she has on that single nail pic....does she bite the skin....? biting the skin around the nails puts pressure on the sides of the nail...you try it...place your thumb nail down and pretend to bite the skin....feel where your bottom teeth are pressing...the side of the nail.

This pressure can cause lifting.

I so totally agree with Gigi and Bagpuss - biting on the fingers around the nail will most certainly cause lifting - ouch! Doesn't anyone feed her? Poor thing - looks like it hurts.

could this sort of lifting be because the product hasnt been pressed onto the nail enough?

I think the prep looks not to have been done adequately. You can see the cuticle still on the plate.
