These lines can also become visible when you allow the edge of the bead to dry before placing the next bead onto the nail.

You may have to work a little faster to avoid seeing this. :)

What causes the lines in a new set of nails where you can see where the back of ball #1 and #2 was placed? Thanks for your help.
 
Hi Suzanne,

I could be wrong but this sounds like your ball of acrylic is too dry and so the line that you see is the powder that hasn't polymerized. Try making the balls slightly wetter (oo er!! ;) ) and see how you get on.
