Linking own domain to google website?

Hi, Im in the process of creating a website through google. Ive purchase a domain, and linked it. Only when the website comes up, the address in the bar changes back to the google one. Its ok, as using my domain directs a person to my site, but how can I stop the address bar from changing back to the "sites.google.com/mywebsite" etc?

Any technical geeks out there willing to advise PLEASE!!?????:hug:

Hi, when you say you have linked your domain name to your website how did you do this? it sounds like your domain name has not updated on the DNS server. It can also take up to 24hrs for any dns updates to implement. If this is not the cause of the problem I'm sure a web savvy person will be along soon and can help you x
