HI, i received a sample of this (Vani-T) Liquid Sun.

How long do you leave it one for this is it the same as velocity(rapid tan) where you wash it off after 4 hours max?

The regular Liquid Sun comes in 6%, 8% and 12% and should be left on for 8 - 10 hrs or overnight.
The Velocity (a faster version of Liquid Sun) should be left on for 1hr, 2hrs or 3-4hrs.

If it doesn't say Velocity on the sample it is the regular Liquid Sun.

Hope that helps and makes sense,
Jen x

Hey there, as far as I'm aware the only one that develops within 4 hrs is the is the Velocity. I may well be wrong though :)

Yes you are correct Velocity is the only one that develops within 4 hrs the Liquid sun has a different developed colour so it is not the same tan at all hth:hug:

As far as I am aware Jen 6% is no longer available.

In my experience with Velocity you have to leave the tan on for 4 hours plus to get much of a colour. For the clients I have tested it on (all different skin types and colours)they have left it for 4-6 hours and not had much colour at all.

Many others may differ with their research.

I have been an avid advocate of Liquid Sun for over 5 years but unfortunately for me with the change in solution formulation (and I must stress for no other reason) my love affair with Liquid Sun looks like it has come to an end.

Have I found anything that matches up to Liquid Sun's original formula - no, not yet the search is still ongoing and I fear it might be for some time to come.

Joe velocity is not fully developed in the 4hrs you leave it on for, it still takes 10 hrs to develop fully. The whole concept of this tan is that you can go about normal daily activities ie gym, work , wear make-up,perfume etc while it is developing.
I wear this tan all the time and everyone of my clients that have had it absolutely love it!!
And i am not aware of the formula changing for liquid sun mine are still the same as ever fantastic!

I checked my most recent purchase of 8% liquid sun and the ingredients are still exactly the same, I only got it a month ago.
Also I have a lot of clients who leave velocity on for 2hrs and they are really dark. Longest I could leave it on for was 2 1/2 hrs. That is more than dark enough for me.
Didn't know that 6% was discontinued, thanks for that info Julie.

Hi Jo,

I am aware of the velocity concept and I probably didn't make myself clear. Guide colour showered off after 5-6 hours but then very little resulting tan at all even after 24 hours!

The solution has most certainly changed, look, feel, smell, application. I am sure that the distributors can tell you ingredient(s) have been removed though.

The Trick with velocity its to make sure you still apply 40 - 45ml per body. The guide colour
Is a lot darker than the original Vani-T. So don't feel that you can apply less
If you are not applying the correct amount, then you will get a tan that is a lot lighter

Also make sure you shake before use.

The formulation has slightly changed with the original, users will see its now in a different
bottle. Vani-t took the fab from its customers feedback on the velocity I.e drys quicker, feels lighter on the skin
Etc and applied it to the original solution. Hth

I haven't had a problem with the velocity, it has always turned out well on my clients.

I have the new style bottle for my 8% solution, but just checked last night and the ingredients are identical to those on the list I was given when I frst started using it. However, I only started using it in Aug 2009, so if the solution may have been changed before then.
I did however notice the smell was slightly different in the new bottle.

When was it the solution was changed?

Hi Julie,
surely they would have to have it listed on the ingredents list if the solution was different.
Only difference I have noticed in this new bottle is the smell.

Thanks,

Hi Suze, do you know what the difference is?
I did notice a differenct smell as I said before, but the ingredients list hasn't changed.
Getting a bit confused now :irked:

 xx

Ok, sorry to drag this up again, but just checked my old bottles (rather than the list I was sent when I first trained) and yes the ingredients are very different.
Will need to check if my clients noticed any difference.
Thanks xxx

jen sorry what are the difference in the ingredients
pm me if ye dont want to say
I am just about to buy three bottles, surely its the same quality ??

Apparently liquid sun has been changed so it has the same quick drying properties as the velocity,,,, as the liquid sun original is quite a wet tan if you get my drift.. plus its been given a more pleasent smell as the velocity smells a bit like tia maria haha and the fusion is like martini rosso!!! hope the liquid sun ia like vodka and tonic!! hahaha:smack:

The new ingredients are the ones I had on the list I was sent through and I remember checking everything at the time and was happy with the ingredients. Do you have the old style bottles still?
If you want I am happy to email you a copy of the new ingredients list, just pm me your email addy.
Everything seems fine though. Checked with a regular of mine, and she didn't notice much difference between the 2, so don't think it is anything to worry about.

The new smell is lovely - doesn't smell like Vodka and Tonic though :wink2:

Hi Jo-anne,

Liquid Sun has not been changed. Our Fusion and Velocity are much faster drying solutions though.:D
