:irked: Grrrrr I have not done nails for a while and decided to do a set of pink and white sculpts on myself on Friday. This went fine, bit out of practice but I noticed on Saturday there looked to be white-ish marks under the acrylic, but when I took them off it wasnt on my natural nail?? Hard to explain, I would do search but I dont know what to search under!!:eek: If I had done tip and overly I would have said overfiling perhaps, when blending but to be honest I didnt do a whole lot of filing, and used a gel topcoat (not sure if thats even slightly relevant!!)

Hope someone knows what I am trying to explain!!!!

wasn't lifting..pocket lifting was it....??....they show as whitish marks and go when removed.

the other thing is dehydrated nails...that shows as white marks too.

may have been air trapped in the acrylic, or working too slowly when patting and the front lip dried trapping bits of dried acrylic underneath (kinda like a wave of acrylic drying, while being pulled/patted forward)
Damn, i'm trying to explain ,,,,, hope you understand:)

I dont think it was pocket lifting, the marks were over the stress area and were up and downy kind of in shape (sorry trying to hard to explain, dam myself for not taking a pic!!) Dehydrated nails, hmmmm I have not looked after my hands and nails lately I wonder if this is it? What would I do to combat it on my next set? Leave enhancements off and use solar oil for a week prior to enhancing?

Working to slowly is possible, actually its massivley likely!! lol I "burped" my brush well though so in terms of air am thinking not but yes speed and me doing my own nails, this is always a tricky combo for me!!

Thanks for the links Sandi, and thank you everyone else also, shall take it all onboard and see if it happens again!

:hug::hug:

Just to agree with Sandi on this one really,
I used to get de-railing every time I did my nails,
It was very annoying ,
I haven't read the links, but With me it normally settles down after about 24 hours xxxx
I think it happened to me due to the fact my nails were weak (my teeth kept biting my enhancements off without me knowing :eek:)

But since I learned my lesson, and no longer allow my teeth ANYWHERE near my nails EVER lol....My nails are much stronger, and I dont get de-railing anymore yayy meeeee lol
