When you come across a nail that doesn't grow straight, would you apply the tip straight to correct this or put the tip on to match the way the natural nail grows?? I have this predicament (sp) with a few of my nails

i would remove all of the natural free edge and apply a tip straight....then after a few fills and it starts to look wonky again i would remove and start over...the same i would for hook nails. Nails like this will always grow how they are and so NNO is usually out of the question. HTH x

Thanks, I must have the worst possible nails ever to work on, they're horrible! not only do some of them grow wonky but on some the sidewalls arn't even straight, they're flat too :irked::irked:

Me too - they are a nightmare, I sympathise

I sculpt all of the time.
I find that sculpting a "cock-eyed" nail is easier to take care of that way.
The customer is able to say it's "her own nail", by not removing it to put a new tip on.
All I do is, as it grows crooked, file the one side straight and add on to the other side.
