HELP!
Having been out of the groove for a few years i really want to get back into my mobile nail service.
PROBLEM IS; i seem to have lost my confidence.I haven't stopped altogether as i still do family and friends it's just the thought of going into clients homes and basically doing a crappy job(which i know i wont) scares me to death. It never did before so i just dont understand.
Any confidence boosting ideas are very welcome and would be much appreciated.

The fact that you are on here fretting that you aren't going to do a good enough job says it all for me... I think some of the best techs out there second guess themselves.

I bet your family and friends love their nails.. right?? .. so why should your clients be any different!

Once you get back into it, you'll be fine.. let us know how you get on.. I'm sure you'll be on here with some fab pics of your work soon... I'll watch this space.. good luck, you know you'll be fab! xxx

Why dont you book on to a refresher course, i feel a little like that to i can do beauty treatments with my eyes closed but but gel nails is all new to me , i just hope i do a good job when i set up

Think positive , you no what you can do just go for it and show your clients what a fab work you are doing .good luck hun.xxxxx

If you know you won't, see above, then why on earth should you not feel confident? You sound confident enough.

Honestly being a nail tech is not a job for anyone who feels not confident. If you have no confidence in you then neither will your clients. Every day will see you worrying ... that is no way to feel about your job. Should you pursue something else perhaps?

Either you believe the statement above where you say you won't do a bad job .. or you don't. If you do,then get out there and get started.

hey, from what you've said it sounds more like you are nervous about the clients or the clients being difficult or picky when you have done a great job (we all get them now n again ) Just believe in your self and if you get nervous just imagine them sittin in the buff on the loo ha ha thats what my mum always said  But if you are doubting your work post a few pics on here and see what feedback you get hth xx

I think you know you are able to do a good job so jump in and go for it.
