Earlier someone asked a question about lupus. Would someone know about how lupus effects the skin?

If you google "lupus" you will find lots and lots of information about it.

I have had a couple of clients with Lupus. Their skin is dry and sometimes looked yellowish/sallow. Eyelashes were breaking/thinning.

They did not experience any skin irritations such as itching, burning or tightness from the facial. They were not on any medications.

there are two types of lupus discoid which is skin based where they get like a butterfly rash on the face im not well read on the discoid lupus but systemic lupus is when the body mimics other diseases and then the butterfly rash appears the client could be as right as rain one day and on deaths door the next, its a nasty disease. Sunlight is a major factor in lupus patients need to ideally stay out of sunlight as it plays havoc with the skin.
only reason i know this is my mother has suffered with lupus for 30 years
