This may be a blonde question but i would like to know what is a luxury pedicure? I have just qualified in manicure and pedicure and have noticed luxury pedicures being advertised in salons, just wondered what else it involves!

Carolanne xxx

They are the same as a standard pedicure but with an added luxury such as:
Paraffin wax, warm booties & scrub and mask. Therapists are all different to what they offer though. This is just me.
They are great to target problems such as dry skin, poor circulation etc xxx

My luxury pedicures include a foot mask with heated mitts or paraffin wax with heated mitts. I thought you'd get clarifications on this on yoru pedi course. Hope that helps x

thanks ladies, there is so much to learn! So glad we have this website! My tutor didn't mention anything about luxury stuff! :smack:
xxxx

Maybe they just dont cover this in your course. Maybe ask your tutor hun as you will need it if you want to go into industry xxx

Luxury mani's and pedi's would also include a longer massage time/sequence to enhance all the goodies you have added and leave your clients feeling great & walking on air

you are not the only one thats in the states- i am from colorado!!! nice to see you here- i agree with you on this, my pedicures take an hour and a half also, i include a mask and a scrub along with parrafin if they want it- i buy products with differant scents so that they may choose, and they really like that.... :green:

I offer the CND Raw Earth pedicure which is a luxury pedi. It comprises nail prep, foot buff, foot masque, heated booties, foot rub, enamel. It takes 90 mins and everyone, but everyone, loves it.

Mine:

Standard - soak, cuticle work, hard skin removal, foot scrub up to knee, massage to knee and polish

Luxury - as above with added foot mask and much longer massage

My luxury pedicure last about 90 minutes, normal pedicure last about 60 minutes. To luxury option I add special salts to soaking solution, mask with thermal effect created with cling film and hot towels and loooong massage of mixed techniques. Also I massage clients feet and legs with preasure massage while mask is on to add more pleasure.. :)
