Hello

Please help! I'm just starting out and I can't decide between:

T200 True Spray
Maxi Mist 5008
Micro

I know it's been asked time and time again, but could anyone give advice about these 3 specifically on:

1. Noise
2. Overspray
3. Speed
4. Number of tans per litre of solution
5. Customer feedback

I was considering buying the Micro until I get some practise then upgrading to a bigger machine once I have my established clients so they can host spray tan parties.

Any advice appreciated :)

The Micro I am thinking you mean the Lite. This particular one is quite noisy as it seems to have a whistle to it. Their is very little overspray as the gun has a fine atomisation and so long as it is set correctly then you will use 30-40ml per client. You will complete a tan in 5 minutes with this. Gives an all over flawless tan, however it has a smaller motor so gets very hot very quickly and would not recommend it for more than 3 clients in a row.

The T200, again sounds like a hoover but on noise levels still noisy. There is little overspray however the guns on these are plagued with problems and this will be more difficult for you if you say bought the machine in the UK and needed to wait for a replacement. You will still get a flawless tan from the gun, using 30-40ml per client and complete the tan in 5 minutes. What I don't like on these is they state in the manual not for continuos use, and they can burn out very quickly. Mine burnt out after a week!

The Maximist 5008 is again noisy like a hoover. There is little overspray and you use 30-40 ml per client to achieve a flawless tan and all under 5 minutes. The machine will keep on going through 30 tans without burning out, and getting too hot. The machine hose clips in around the machine so its very tidy and easy to move about without having to keep parts of it in a bag. The other bonus with the 5008 is that their is a pro addition with a metal gun that absolutly blows the socks off its competitors. The Gun on this machine also has a life time warranty.

I have sold in the last few months hundreds of all three machines and the ones I have had no problems with are the Lite and the Maximists. If your in the middle of a client the last thing you need is a broken machine! With the Maximist Pro you also get a spare gun, and every tan technician needs a spare gun!

personally i would recommend the 5008 its a great machine and a great work horse it comes with 3 spare cups which are handy for different strength solutions both machines kick out 1.7psi and use the same internal fans its not really worth the extra money for the t200 its only real difference is the brass fittings and that the hose is strengthened but is that really necessary with only 1.7psi :irked::irked: the t200 also had a few problems with water damage as the air intake and filter is on the underside of the machine and it sucked in water from freshly mopped floors etc in the 5008 they have rectified this problem by moving the air intake to the rear of the machine
we have sold loads of the 5008 and only had a couple of problems with leaky gland seals on the needle guide making solution drip onto the fingers of the therapist usually due to it working loose and a very easy fix
the t200 on the other hand had problems a few months down the line with missing spray paterns as the gaskets on the cup seal became flattened
one bit of advice though dont buy of ebay because when things go wrong the company that sold you the machine wont want to know any reputable company will have a good stock of spares and offer service/repair and a 12 month guarantee

i bought the micro one from sienna x, i got the student kit
then as you said i'm going to upgrade to a better machine as i get more clients
if you have the money though i'd go for one of the better machines, i was on a budget and thats why i got the micro one, i find it works well

Whatever the machine you finally go for ..be it budget or anticipated usage that is the deciding factor do make your purchase through a company who will be there for you in the event you have problems with your machine down line

Different individuals and companies will all recommend different machines because "they" stock the one "they" feel is the best.

A good rule of thumb, and generally speaking , it is always advisable to allocate as much spend as you can when purchasing equipment...the right equipment purchased from the right supplier will only pay dividends in the long term .
