Don't you have to be qualified to offer make up services?
Either as MUA or Beautician? Someone in my area has neither:twisted:

of course you do... for insurance xx

you do have to be qualified to take payment and deliver a service to the comminity, but while i was training my tutor said we could practice and charge a minimal fee as long as we say we are still training, so depends wether she is saying she is qualified or non qualified xx:o but people may know more on here who are trainers

Apparently not as I have asked this question before on here as I wanted to add bridal make up to my services. The academy of freelance make up says there is no actual recognised qualification. Don't know how this works with insurance though. I would ask my insurer!

Not so.
There are plenty of service providers out there who aren't qualified per se, but who have many years of experience in their field which is perfectly acceptable. My cleaning lady is not "qualified", but she has a limited company, gives out invoices and has a huge client base.
The same goes for my gardener, the lady who groomed my late Airedale Terrier, and the chap who valets our cars.

Lynne Baker is correct. There is no exacting qualification in this area. Simply your very own reputation. Guard it well & don't get bogged down with trendy, expensive brands. Wise application will win over quality.
