Bit of a long post but here goes. I went to a new client last week, she informed me before hand 'oh im a cnd nail tech (never heared of one of these) but cant be bothered doin my nails and thought id treat myself, which okay yes fine.
Turned up started to look at her nails and hand she had tiniest nail beds ever also a biter, she was adament she wanted intense pink (bright pink as she put it lol) and long white tips, I informed her about her nails not bein suitable for white tips etc, I could see her freezing, so i was explaining about using opaque powder to extend her nail bed slightly and making her free edge slightly smaller (2 on cnd form) than what she used to as too much white will make it look unbalanced, well she nearly fainted and said just put white tips on ,,, I basicley said I am sorry but I do not do white tips, can we compromise I will cutom blend you a pink using intense, and I will sculpt your white using L&P, lets see what you think.
Result was she was amazed, she couldn believe how good they looked, even said, ohh all my clients will want your number. My point of this post is even though she was a supposed nail tech she knew very little about the anatomy of the nail or her products and was amazed when I told her I was removing her cuticle lol, when you have clients whom are adement they know best do you swollow and do as you say or do you stick to your guns and do it your way,,,,,,, I was willing to not do her nails if she was soooo insistant me doing them her way, I knew she just needed to see them done diffrently to be swayed lol. she has booked back for xmas eve and also I told her to ring s2 about a conversion instead of buying her products from ~~~~~~ nails in liverpool whom claim to be a CND academy she also got her cert from this place, which I said is prob not valid as this certain person is not a cnd educator but to ring s2 and they would put right.
