I want to train in male intimate waxing however my dad (employer) is convened about Pervvy mAle clients being inApproriate with me. Is this common or rare?

It's a good skill to train for I would go for it. And ur hardly going to get a guy jumping you within a busy salon, by the sounds of your family business is pretty big and you have got an established professional name for urselves already so u wouldn't get those kind of luck cancels asking for favour a.
And I did my ex wax once and pain in its self won't lend them to become aroused at all so I pretty much doubt it.

Beauty at your finger tips!

If I was the man laid on the couch I wouldn't dare mess with the girl with the power to rip my pubes out:lol:
I dont think it would br likely that anyone would try it on really, im assuming there will be peiple in earshot of a shout for help.
Plus you have their name and address and stuff so only an idiot would do it
They could technically lie about this info but targetting a beauty therapist would be a pretty odd plan .
Im sure you will be fine x

Roxy I only offer male waxing and specialise in male intimate waxing treatments. I have a great , loyal client base and when I started out like many therapists you will come across a few that seek more than a professional service... The most important thing is to set out your web page so that there is no doubt that it's only professional and state this on there also. I also found that listening to your own gut instinct is one of the best ways to filter out these clients, perhaps I may have lost a few clients along the way but sometimes you read an email or a text message and if it doesn't sound right I just ignore it.

That said when male clients find a good therapist they are very loyal and they will listen to what you say in terms of aftercare etc.

Good luck

Jack

In addition to what Jack said, a website with a comprehensive FAQ page is great. Quite often the pervs will try and get you into a phone/text/email conversation asking silly questions to try and steer a conversation to the subject they really want. All you have to do then is direct them to your web page (which they have probably already read anyway) and when they don’t get the response they are after they generally leave you alone.

“Does it hurt?”
“Please see the FAQ page on my website at www… for answers to your questions.”
“What happens if I get an erection?”
“Please see the FAQ page on my website at www… for answers to your questions.”
“Is it discreet?”
“Please see the FAQ page on my website at www… for answers to your questions.”
“Can’t you just answer my question?”
“I have on my website. Please see the FAQ page on my website at www… for answers to your questions.”

They soon learn they aren’t gonna get what they want.

I’m also looking into prepayment for 1st time intimate wax clients (to reduce pervs and no shows).

Forgot to mention that I'm a lone worker

When you wrote that your dad is your employer I thought you were working together. There are a lot of female therapists on here who work alone and offer male intimate waxing. Bad experiences are few and far between - but they can happen, whether you're male or female, and whether you're waxing, doing massage etc. When I worked alone I didn't offer treatments to men. That was my choice. Now I'm in my salon, I do male clients, but they are few and far between. I don't offer male intimate but have a great demand for ladies.
Good luck on your choices

No my dad is the owner but isn't on the premises. He occasionally pops in. I am a lone worker. That's helpful . Thanks all xx

So in the instance that they did try it on, you'd just ask them to leave and generally there's been no problems after you've said that?

Always good to have one of these handy...

OMG briliant LMAO

I have had ONE that was a bad experience, shocked me at first and wasn't capable of responding in that moment. Once I gathered my composure I threw the paper towel roll at him and told him he has 1 minute to get the F*** out. He paid double for the wax service as I had the phone in my hand ready to call the cops in case he tried to take off, he paid. I then told him that I will be forwarding his description to every salon in the area!
He was never to be seen or heard of again, I have waxed Many Many males since 2004 and that was the only crappy experience I had.
Be firm, stay cool and professional at all times, this is a JOB of removing unwanted hair and it needs to be clear in all your advertising.
